It Has Begun

I'm talking about football season. It's in full swing around here. We watched the Longhorns game at Val and Blakes (thanks guys!) house yesterday and had a little BBQ. It was Colt's first game, so I snapped a few photos of him, which I'll post down at the bottom...

Chris hasn't moved off of the couch today, although he isn't able to watch the Titans because it's not on any of our channels. I'm sure he's found another game to watch by now.

I'm not as into pro football (at least at the beginning of the season) as I am college. In a few weeks I'll probably be more interested in the pro teams, but for now I just get bored. But, being bored it's always bad...I cleaned the whole house this morning top to bottom. Too bad it's only 1:30 and these games will be on until 10 tonight.

Oh, and to clarify, I'm not bitching about Chris being planted on the couch. Really. He deserves a day of nothingness every once in a while. Especially considering he's working overtime every day this week.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Suuuuooooookie!

If Chris doesn't stop walking around talking like "Bill the vampire," I will go crazy.

I'm not kidding. Ever since we started watching season one of True Blood, Chris walks around saying Sookie this and Sookie that! It sounds more like Suuukieee though. Think SUUUUbway. Suuuuoooooookie.

Annoying.

I started reading the books in the series by Charlaine Harris about a month ago. I'm now about halfway through the series. When I started reading the first book I didn't know that they had anything to do with the TV series on HBO, True Blood. Chris and I have started watching season one of the show and are about half way through.
I was so surprised even with the first episode how risque it was..It's definitely much more raunchy than the books are written. I guess that's what HBO has to do to get viewers and keep them interested?

Of course, so far I still prefer the books over the show. I feel like the more we get into the show, the farther away from the books the story is getting. I'm not sure though since we aren't that far into it.

Chris loves the show. He's actually stalking his Netflix account online to find out when the next DVD will be in our mailbox. I knew when I started the books that the show would be right up his alley.

I'm wondering if my IRL* friend Arena knows that Charlaine Harris will be coming to her neck of the woods in mid May...I think she's more into it then me.

I'm off to check the mail now. Unless Chris has already beat me to it.
