Santa Totally Delivered

I can cross TWO things off of my wish list. 

Santa totally outdid himself this year.

The first thing that I opened was an SD card. I didn't know what was going on so I don't have many pictures to document with.

I mean, when I saw it was an SD card, I kind of thought I would be getting cash to go buy the camera I've been wanting.

Then Chris handed me this. In a box of course.

And then I cried. And everyone got really quiet because they couldn't figure out why I was crying. Then Tyler said, "Awkward!" And I started laughing. I've been wanting this camera for years now, that's why on my wish list it's listed as a T2i. I am so excited. And grateful . I can't believe it's mine.

Thank you Dad, Sean and Chris! 

Then, I finally got to open the big one that has been under the tree for a whole month now.

What was it?

Best. Christmas. Ever.

Shortly after opening those two things I got that feeling. You know, the one you get when you get those great/expensive gifts and realize the gift you got the person that spent so much on you, just isn't enough.

So, I waited. Waited for my brothers or someone to start getting that mopey face. You know the one. But it never happened. Everyone is just so excited to be all together this year that the gifts don't matter as much.

I love today.

He Wishes

A man can dream, right?

I'm 5.

Really. Sometimes I act like a 5 year old. Especially around the holidays. 

For instance, so what if I woke up nearly every morning last week and ran to the tree to see if Chris had stuck any gifts under the tree for me? 

Who cares?

I'm like a 5 year old sometimes.  I admit it .

And you know what? One morning it paid off. Why? Because I found this-

Heck yes. There's only one thing on my wish list that needs a box this big.

Now, if only I can get through all of my holiday baking without Chris begging me to open it and use it using this bad boy...

My 2011 Christmas List

I officially started my Christmas shopping on Saturday. That's late for me, I usually start in August/September. I asked Chris if he'd started shopping for me yet. I can't get an answer out of him. There better be something under our tree with my name on it, because he'll have a few things under it with his name on it! 

*cough*

This is the first Christmas that we've ever really planned on buying each other anything for Christmas. Last year, we went together and bought our TV. The years before that? There really wasn't any extra money for gifts. 

So just in case Mister has forgotten what's on my list this year-

Red. That's the only catch. Please and thank you.

Really, that's the only thing I've been begging asking for, for the last couple of years. There are a few other things that I want...

Still waiting for my Canon Rebel T3i.

A hot pink and black Otter Box. 

Those really soft pajama pants from Gap or Old Navy. I ask for these every year.

Money to go toward new tires for my car. I don't even want to think about buying tires in the next few months. But I have to!

And if this is the year that he wants to finally put a ring on it, I'm game.

The Birthday Countdown Has Begun!

Only 21 days until my birthday! Nah, seriously this is probably pretty much the only time I'll blog about my birthday. 

We never really do anything on my birthday, and this year it falls on a Tuesday, so yuck. 

But, if you need any gift ideas check out my wish list! It's been updated recently so check it out. Ya know, if you're bored or something.

And if I hear one more time that if Chris and I just got married I would get all of these things as wedding gifts, I WILL HURL. Can't a girl just ask for a cake plate?!

A Dose Of His Own Medicine

All I have to say is Chris got a dose of his own medicine when we went into Best Buy on Sunday.

Usually it's me begging him to leave.

Yesterday, it was the other way around. I found the camera I've been eyeing and it was all over.

Canon EOS Rebel T2i

I may or may not have stood there and "played" with it for close to an hour.

Sad thing is, by the time we get the money saved up for it my birthday rolls around, I'll still have to wait a couple of months after it's ordered because they are out of stock everywhere.

At least Chris gets a sweet "deal" on it through work so it'll be worth the wait!

Until it lands on my doorstep, I'll be making more frequent than usual trips to Best Buy. I don't think Chris will be complaining.

My BIG Wish List-Updated

I keep coming across blogs where I find wish lists the blogger has made. I think it's a good idea to put everything on my wish list here in one place. Ya know, in case we win the lotto or something. So, here goes nothing.

 Canon EOS Rebel T2i- This is it. This is the camera I want. It's out of stock everywhere right now. Chris says I'm getting it for my birthday, which really means I'll get it on his birthday. Yeah, they're out of stock everywhere.

 Canon EOS Rebel XSi- I really want a camera. Bad. There isn't a photographer in the family and I'd really like to be that person. Once I had a camera maybe then I could take some photography classes...

 Nikon D3000-

 Photoshop Elements 8 for Mac- It doesn't really make any sense to get this unless I get a camera first.

Cake Plate/Punch Bowl- I've been wanting a cake plate...when I started looking online I saw this one that doubles as a punch bowl. How nifty, right?

 Le Creuset French Oven 5 1/2 qt.- Yes, I want it in red. You know what I could make in this thing? Are you kidding me?

 Kitchen Aid stand mixer 5 qt.- I need this. Maybe if I told the family I wasn't baking anything until I got one, one would show up for my birthday. Once again, yes in red. Ok wait, I want one so bad I don't care what color!

Springform Pan- Hello cheesecake!

Mixing bowls- I love these colorful nesting mixing bowls from Williams-Sonoma.

 FlipSide Waffle Maker- This one doesn't need an explanation. My only request is that it has to be flippable!

 Apple iPad 16 GB-Now this I would share with Chris. Since I got to play with one recently I really think I'd rather have an iPad then a new laptop. Everything I ever do on my laptop, I can do on the iPad. Unless I actually got a camera/Photoshop...then I'd need a new laptop.

Gee, you can tell what my hobbies are.

 I just realized nothing on this list is super cheap.

I should be done now.

Add This To My Wish List

I haven't made a wish list yet, but now I really have a reason to!

My aunt brought this home from work Tuesday-

Yep, an Apple iPad 16 GB.

Chris was able to play with one at work a couple of weeks ago, but I refused to fight the crowds at the two  Apple stores down here.

Of course, my pictures of the iPad don't do it justice...but that's another item for the wish list that I'll soon be making.

Anyway, back to the iPad.

We read a book-

One of the features I liked about reading books is this-

Don't laugh at our selection-Winnie the Pooh.

If you come across a word you don't know, you can look it up in the dictionary. Of course, I know what bumping means, but recently I've asked Chris if he knew what ------ means. I can't stand not knowing what a word is so this is pretty cool. It also shows you the page numbers at the bottom and how many pages are left in each chapter.

Of course, there's more to the iPad than reading books.

Chris watched one of his favorite shows-

We also played around with Google Maps...and found the street view of our house.

Creeeeeepy.

I tweeted from it.

It would take me a while to get used to typing on the keyboard. I'm too used to typing on my laptop/Blackberry. Chris kept laughing at me.

I wrote a short little blog.

Please excuse the allergy face/late night pic.

Basically, I can do everything that I ever do on my laptop...on the iPad.

I. want. one. now.

The iPad is also super light and thin.

It still won't fit in my purse though.

Chris wants one too.

Of course.

We wish this one was ours to keep but it's gone back to Apple now.
