A No Chocolate Mother's Day Dessert

We are having a big meal at our house for Mother's Day. I'm in charge of dessert. Here's what I'm making-

Sock-It-To-Me Cake
What you need for the cake:
1 package (18.25 ounces) plain yellow cake mix
1 cup sour cream
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup white sugar
4 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
What you need for the filling:
2 tbs. light brown sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 cup finely chopped pecans
What you need for the glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbs. milk

You also need a Bundt pan...sprayed with non stick spray.
I'm going to use my grandma's...after years of use, nothing sticks to it.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Start by mixing the filling for your cake. Grab a small bowl and toss in 2 tablespoons of the boxed cake mix, the brown sugar, cinnamon, and pecans. Stir well with a fork until combined then set aside.
Next you'll need a larger bowl to mix the actual cake in...so grab one. Throw the remaining cake mix into the large bowl. Also add in the sour cream, oil, water, white sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix the batter with a mixer until it is thick and smooth, about three minutes.
Pour half! of the batter into your prepared (greased) Bundt pan.
Next take your filling that you  made earlier, you know the pecan mixture? And sprinkle it on top of this first layer of batter.
Yum. Now take the rest of your cake batter and pour it evenly on top of the filling.
Now you should have three layers. Batter, filling, then batter.
Seriously? It looks this good before I even bake it?
Ok throw it in the oven for about an hour or an hour and ten minutes. Mine took the longer. You want it to be pretty brown on top so that the middle of the cake is nice and done. Dump the cake out onto a platter like this-
The bottom of the cake is actually the top. See that dark line in the middle of the cake? That's not a crack, it's the line of yummy filling that's throughout the cake. Let the cake cool for a couple of hours. Once cooled, then it's time to glaze it! Get out your milk (2 tbs.) and powdered sugar (1 cup).
I initially mixed my glaze in this glass measuring cup above so that I could drizzle it on the cake. The glaze turned out thicker than I thought so that was fruitless. Add the milk into the sugar.
Then start stirring! (Yes, I'm using a knife.)
Once the glaze is smooth, pour spread it on to the cake.
Happy Mother's Day to all of you moms out there.
