Part one of Valentine's at our house consists of these beauties-
Oh, and chocolate.
All you need to make chocolate covered strawberries is:
1 dozen strawberries (rinsed, and dried)
1 cup chocolate chips
Melt the chocolate
Take your very dry strawberries and dip!
If they aren't dry, the chocolate won't stick.
And, the chocolate must stick.
Lay them out on parchment paper and let them dry.
Quickly drizzle some caramel on one to claim it as your own.
Good, Chris won't touch that one with a ten foot pole. Sprinkle powdered sugar on a couple to spice it up.
Yum.
Let the chocolate harden and stick them in the fridge for a bit. Enjoy!
