Movie Review

One day last week, while Chris was at work, I finally got around to watching Julie & Julia.
I wish I would have written this post a little sooner than now because I've already forgotten some of the things I wanted to say about it.

I've always had a fascination with Julia Child, so it was neat getting to see her personality via Meryl Streep. She was hilarious...On the other hand, I don't really care for Amy Adams, but in this movie, I sort of forgot who she really was. Doesn't that mean she did a good job acting then? I don't know, whatever. Just don't expect me (or Chris) to rush to her next movie.

I was kind of bummed that Meryl and Amy never shared the screen. I was hoping for at least a phone call between them at the end of the movie.

It was better than I though it would be. I didn't think Chris would have liked it, but after watching it I decided he would have been able to sit through it. The young couple, Julie and Eric, totally reminded me of Chris and I.

There were a couple of scenes that made me laugh out loud because it reminded me of us. The first was when Eric and Julie were sitting on the couch watching SNL and laughing at the Julia Child skit. Chris and I watch SNL every week and I don't know anyone else who does. In fact, we've been made fun of. It's actually better now than it was a few years ago.

The other scene that reminded me of Chris and I was when Julie and Eric were having an argument and Eric yelled, "Do not write about this in your blog!" Julie said, "About what!?" Eric replied, "This fight!"

I busted out laughing because it sounds like something Chris would say to me. He thinks I blog about everything. Psh. What does he know? He should read it if he's worried! Right?

Anyway, that's my "review" or whatever you want to call it. I don't ever watch movies twice, but I'd watch this one again with Chris.
