Precious. Or Not.

A few weeks ago Chris and I watched Precious. You know, after it didn't win best picture? I'm sorry but neither one of us liked it. Boo Hoo. This blog is about nothing but my opinion so take it with a grain of salt.

Now, everyone who knows me, knows I much prefer to read the book than watch the movie. Well my only question is, how in the heck is this book written? I couldn't even understand her 85% of the movie! Yes, I realize that's supposed to be part of the whole deal but really? Open your freakin mouth when you talk. Anyway, I doubt I'll ever read the book.

Chris and I are still trying figure out how the movie was supposed to be "uplifting". Yes, she finally gets out of the situation, but only in the last 30 seconds of the movie. The rest of it is depressing and just gross.

Of course, I know this is real life for some people, I just can't help but feel like Oprah only backed it because...well you know where I'm going with this. I better stop here.

There is one thing I enjoyed about the movie. Nurse John who was played by Lenny Kravitz.

No way would I watch it again.
