My grandparents are celebrating their wedding anniversary today.

This is their 49th anniversary.

That's 49 years of birthdays.

That's 49 years of sitting around the same dinner table together.

That's 49 years of my grandma playing cards with my grandpa and getting beat nearly every time. He never lets her win.

That's 49 years of  having kids, raising kids, and losing kids.

That's 49 years of arguments and making up.

That's 49 years of loving someone more than you love yourself.
