I hate shoe shopping. Hate.
I have wide, square feet. Impossible to shop for.
Chris loves shoe shopping. Loves.
And so, while we were out last weekend, he begged me to go into the shoe store with him so he could replace his favorite pair. While he was running around trying on every pair of brown shoes he could find in a size 10 and a half, I was wandering up and down the aisles of the tennis shoes. I was mainly playing around on my phone and moaning that I was ready to get the hell out of there.
And then in the window I saw these shoes. With lime green shoe laces.
What would any girl in their right mind do in that situation? Take the shoes up to the counter and demand that they find them in your size. STAT!
Duh.
So I did. And you know what the super nice dude at the counter said to me?
"Oh, that's a kid shoe, we only have those shoes in kid sizes."
"WHAT?!"
The lime green shoe laces should have tipped me off I suppose. But, I wasn't giving up.
Apparently they did come in women's sizes, but they just weren't in the store. So he called around and found them at another store in a size to big. But me?
I. Didn't. Even. Care.
We jumped in the car (after Chris bought his beloved replacement brown shoes) and drove to another store so I could try those puppies on.
And? I loved them.
They are so comfy. And cute. Hello? Lime green shoe laces? All of the tennis shoes I've ever owned have had a theme.
Pink. Silver. White.
gag.
So, we bought them and they'll be arriving at my doorstep sometime this week, they had to order them special because they were sold out of my size.
I asked Twitter what they thought about them and the response was all good. Thanks, guys!
I need them for my 3 miles 4 times a week anyway.
